BBC Grand National 2011 Coverage

BBC Grand National Coverage across the BBC of the three-day Grand National meeting with the famous Aintree race live at 1615 BST on the Saturday.

Champion jockey AP McCoy finally won the race on Don’t Push It in April 2010, and was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year in December. Can he triumph again?

Thursday, BBC Two 1340-1630: Five races are broadcast, including the Totesport Bowl at 1505 and the John Smith Fox Hunters’ Chase over the National fences at 1540.

Friday, BBC Two 1345-1630: The Melling Chase (1505) and the Topham Chase (1540) over the National course are among five races to be shown live.

Saturday, BBC One 1300-1710: Forty horses and jockeys will line up for the Grand National at 1615. Four races will be shown beforehand, including the Aintree Hurdle at 1525.

Sunday, BBC Two 0000-0030: Grand National highlights.

Clare Balding will present coverage throughout the three days, with Rishi Persad, Richard Pitman and Suzi Perry.

Expert anyalysis comes from former National-winning jockeys Richard Dunwoody and Mick Fitzgerald. Race commentary is provided by Jim McGrath, Ian Bartlett and Darren Owen, while there is betting news from Gary Wiltshire and John Parrott.
