Welsh Trained winner of the Grand National

Can Cappa Bleu win the Grand National as a Welsh trained horse?

Can Cappa Bleu win the Grand National as a Welsh trained horse?

There has not been a Welsh-trained winner of the Grand National since 1905 but they will surely have few better opportunities than tomorrow given Cappa Bleu, Teaforthree, Always Waining, Saint Are and Mumbles Head all having chances of Aintree glory.

Betvictor Spokesperson Charlie McCann: “It has already been a great year for Welsh sport with Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham having outstanding campaigns in the world of football, Wales winning the Six Nations and Gareth Bale the outstanding player in the Premier League; having gone so close in recent years Evan Williams would not be winning the great race out of turn with Cappa Bleu whilst Rebecca Curtis has a leading chance of becoming the third woman to train a National winner with Teaforthree.”
