Fridays Aintree Betting Tips, 8th April 2011

Big Buck’s was simply sensational, a wonderful horse winning his third Liverpool Hurdle, what a sensational horse we saw on Thursday. He is a true legend, he not only won but won in style. Amazing horse.

Friday, the action continues at Aintree and what a day we have in store. Albertas Run (3:05) , partnered by AP McCoy is primed for Aintree as he bids to win the Melling Chase following the brilliant win at Cheltenham in the Ryanair. What a great horse this is and he can emulate Big Buck’s and come here after victory at Cheltenham and win.

Tony McCoy will be on Don’t Push it in the Grand National and warmed up last year with a win in this race before winning the National. I think he will certainly be well backed and could go off as favourite for the Grand National. here Albertas Run will have to fend of Kalahari King who was not far behind at Cheltenham, Master Minded who was a huge disappointment at the Festival and the Irish Challenger Tranquil Sea. I think he has the class and the will to win and is the best bet of the day on Friday.

Topolski (2:00) is a lovely looking horse who is unbeaten and could offer some value in the Friday opener. Two wins at Sandown and Newton Abbot were eye catching but this is a tougher test. The handicapper certainly thinks he is the best in the field awarding him a rate of 145. If the official handicapper has it right then we have found the winner. If only it was that easy, but all a horse can do is win and he has done so on two occasions in the style of a very good horse. At the prices I suggest that there is some value to be had. Daryl Jacob takes the ride, he is a very promising young jockey and will not be found wanting here.

I have also had a whisper for one in the bumper, the flat race at 5:25, Glorious Feeling. The Henderson and McCoy team is formidable and I have heard this is strongly fancied! Lets hope it wins and sets us up for Grand National Day!
