Faller at the Chair last year and put up a career best when runner up to stablemate The Midnight Club (8lb worse off) in the Bobbyjo last time. Not yet guaranteed a run but one to consider if he gets into the race off his feather weight.

Trainer – Willie Mullins

Jockey- David Casey

Other- Irish trained, number 37, Green and yellow Colours.

Bet on Arbor Supreme with Ladbrokes 20/1

Yet another Irish trained runner, from the stable of Willie Mullins who also saddles The Midnight Club. He also runs in the same colours as last year’s winner and Tony McCoy’s mount Don’t Push It. Obviously McCoy had the option to ride this one but has remained loyal to last year’s winner.

Willie Mullins won the Grand National in 2005 with Hedgehunter, so knows what it takes to win the world’s greatest steeplechase. With only 10 stone free to carry Arbor Supreme comes here having run The Midnight Club very close at Fairyhouse earlier this season. The overwhelming trait that Arbor supreme displays is inconsistency which must be a great source of frustration both to his backers and connections. He does have experience over the Grand National fences which is a big plus, the jockey is more than capable and the ground will not be a problem.

There are others with stronger claims but if you have drawn Arbor Supreme in the sweepstake or have backed this Irish runner then you are not without a chance. If everything goes his way he could very easily figure in the finish and is rated as not a bad each way bet.
